Ein Highlight des Vineta-Museums ist die Dauerausstellung \u00fcber den Mondscheinmaler Louis Douzette mit neuen Werken aus seinem Nachlass. Als sp\u00e4tromantischer K\u00fcnstler steht er in der Tradition der pommerschen Malerei und fesselt den Betrachter mit seinen Landschafts- und Mondscheinbildern. Es werden zahlreiche \u00d6lgem\u00e4lde sowie Skizzen und Studien aus der fr\u00fchen Phase des K\u00fcnstlers pr\u00e4sentiert.<\/p>\n

Einen regionalen und \u00fcber die Landesgrenzen hinausreichenden Ruf konnte sich das Vineta-Museum in den letzten Jahren durch seine regelm\u00e4\u00dfigen Sonderausstellungen verschaffen, welche stets einen Bezug zur Stadt und der Region herstellen. 
\nSonderschauen zu ehemaligen Barther Institutionen wie z. B. die Pommersche Eisengie\u00dferei oder weitgehend vergessene Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie Louis Douzette und Ferdinand J\u00fchlke, f\u00fchrten zu einer Wiederentdeckung und wurden in Deutschland und sogar in Teilen des Auslands wahrgenommen. <\/p>\n

In dem kleinen Museumshaus sind auf drei Etagen Dokumente seit der Stadtgr\u00fcndung, wie Pl\u00e4ne und Urkunden, Exponate zur Fischerei und Seefahrt, Werke bedeutender Barther Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten, aber auch eine eigenst\u00e4ndige Abteilung zu Vineta ausgestellt.
\nNeben der Barther Stadtgeschichte werden aber auch st\u00e4ndig wechselnde Sonderausstellungen gezeigt.<\/p>\n

Im Obergescho\u00df befindet sich eine Abteilung, die dem \u201eMythos Vineta\u201c nachsp\u00fcrt. Vineta, die versunkene Stadt \u2013 f\u00fcr die einen Menschen ist sie ein Mythos f\u00fcr die anderen Wirklichkeit. Vielfach ist \u00fcber die ber\u00fchmte Handelsstadt, welche einst so gro\u00df wie Konstantinopel gewesen sein soll, geschrieben worden.
\nDer Besucher steigt ein in die Tauchglocke \u201eUnder Water\u201c und geht auf eigene Entdeckungsreise. S\u00e4mtliches Quellenmaterial zur Vineta-Theorie wird hier dem Besucher erlebnisreich pr\u00e4sentiert. Daneben wird auch die Vinetarezeption in Literatur, Musik und Kunst vorgestellt.<\/p>\n
